Job Description

The position at Varex Imaging involves a variety of assembly operations on electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, or measurement products. Your responsibilities will include assembling and processing products and parts using hand tools, specialized equipment, and following written process documentation. You will be expected to inspect and test parts using precision measuring equipment, adjust processes based on results, and maintain a clean work area while adhering to safety requirements. Additionally, you may be required to write and maintain accurate production documentation, perform basic preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure production schedules are followed. Your role may involve facilitating team meetings, assisting in setting up work schedules, and completing LMS training specific to your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should possess a high proficiency in multiple production skill areas, solid knowledge of material logistics, and at least two business system concepts such as Statistical Process Control, Six Sigma methods, and Quality Improvement. You should demonstrate problem-solving abilities, good presentation skills, and the ability to lead discussions and make decisions. Proficiency in business tools like E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential, with experience in SAP or similar ERP software being desired. As a skilled specialist, you will be expected to complete tasks resourcefully and effectively, work on assignments requiring judgment and initiative, and make recommendations for solutions. You may lead a team formally or informally and determine methods and procedures for new assignments. The typical education and experience required for this role is an Associate Degree or equivalent experience along with 6-8 years of related experience.
