Job Description

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a GL Accountant to manage and maintain the prepaid expenses accounting process with accuracy and compliance. This role will be responsible for ensuring proper amortization, reconciliation, and reporting of prepaid expenses while working closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiencies and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Your Impact

Track and maintain prepaid expenses, ensuring proper amortization and expense recognition in accordance with US GAAP.

Prepare journal entries for prepaid transactions and ensure accurate postings to the general ledger.

Perform monthly reconciliations of prepaid accounts in Blackline and resolve discrepancies.

Collaborate with FP&A, Procurement, and Accounts Payable teams to ensure correct classification of prepaid expenses.

Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including variance analysis and reporting.

Ensure compliance with SOX controls and company accounting policies.

Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of prepaid expense accounting.

Your Experience

Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in prepaid accounting, general ledger accounting, or financial reporting in a large US MNC.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial controls.

Experience in SAP (or other large ERP systems) is a plus.

Proficiency with Blackline or other reconciliation tools is preferred.

Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial analysis and reporting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong collaboration and communication skills with a proactive mindset
