Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive GIS Engineer to oversee the development and optimization of our GIS based visualisation and 3D/4D data display. The candidate has to collaborate with different team but own the data ingestion/ collating/readiness for visualisation in GIS engine. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with development teams to enhance productivity, improve software delivery, and ensure robust, scalable infrastructure.

Core Skills:

• Enterprise GIS Design: Ability to design and implement large-scale, multi-country, and cross-environment GIS solutions.
• GIS Platforms: Expertise in ESRI ArcGIS/ QGIS/Google Earth Engine/ OpenLayers.
• 3D & 4D Mapping: Skills in creating, managing, and visualizing 3D/4D models of air, sea, and ground environments.
• Spatial Data Analysis: Proficiency in geospatial analysis and spatial statistics.
• Vector Data Handling: Managing vector data formats like GeoJSON, Shapefiles, KML, and PostGIS-enabled databases.
• Temporal Data Visualization: Display of moving images with time-series data for air, sea, underwater, and ground tracking.
• Languages: Proficiency in Python, R (for spatial statistics), and SQL (for spatial databases).
• GIS Libraries: Experience with geospatial libraries like GDAL, Geopandas, Leaflet.js, D3.js (for data visualization), and CesiumJS (for 3D globe rendering).
• API Integration: Familiarity with integrating APIs (like Google Maps, Esri REST, or Mapbox) for data import, export, and visualization.
• Spatial Databases: Proficiency with PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, and SQL Server with spatial extensions.
• Data Flow Design: Designing workflows to ingest, clean, process, and visualize geospatial data in real-time.
• User-Centered Design: Designing intuitive interfaces for displaying vector, raster, and moving images.
