GIS Engineer

Essence of profile

Get to the heart of customer issues, diagnose problem areas, design innovative solutions, and facilitate deployment resulting in client delight, GIS Associate who loves working with Spatial Data. The successful applicant will work from initial research, data mining and through analysis of the final product.

Roles and Responsibility:

• Identify open-source geospatial resources for weather, perils and climate change.
• Automate the processing of geospatial data using python.
• Detailed observations of developed products and debug and design solutions to issues identified.

Must Have Skills:

• Experience in GIS tools QGIS, ArcGIS.
• Geospatial data processing using python.
• Experience in Postgres SQL queries.

Skills Required:

• Hands on in GIS applications and development.
• Knowledge of GIS multiple data formats and handling of Spatial data.
• Ability to gather, understand, and critically analyze spatial and tabular data.
• Knowledge of Postgres or any other spatial databases.
• Must be able to multitask and meet deadlines in the given time frame.
• Resource should have strong analytical skills and affinity to solve problems individually or collaboratively as a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
