Role Overview:

We are seeking a GIS Analyst to support our mapping and drone data teams. This is a full-time, in-person position located at our office in Shaikpet, Hyderabad (500008). The selected candidate will work on various GIS projects involving spatial analysis, mapping, and drone data processing.

Responsibilities:

• Work with UTM zones and coordinate reference systems.
• Process drone data using tools like Pix4D and DJI Terra.
• Analyze spatial data with ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
• Generate 2D/3D survey outputs for projects.
• Assist with field operations and ensure quality delivery.
• Contribute to land mapping, planning, and drone-based analysis with AI.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Civil, Geography, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with GIS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of ArcGIS, Pix4D, DJI Terra, and coordinate systems.
• Experience conducting seminars, webinars, and practical training for students and new candidates.
• Team leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Python for GIS automation.
• Web GIS application development:
• Frontend: Basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript (with libraries like Leaflet).
• Backend: Experience with Node.js or Python APIs.
• Familiarity with Mapping APIs such as Mapbox or Google Maps.
• Basic knowledge of AWS or similar cloud hosting platforms.
• Understanding of LiDAR and experience in drone flight planning.
• Training & Mentoring Skills: Ability to guide and mentor students or new candidates in GIS, web mapping, and drone technologies.

GIS Task Assignment Details

Candidates selected for the role will be required to complete the following tasks as part of the interview process:

• Task 1: Administrative Mapping (Basic)
• Work with India’s state shapefile, reproject to UTM Zone 44N, and create a choropleth map.
• Task 2: Buffer & Spatial Analysis (Intermediate)
• Create a buffer around highways and clip the buffer with state boundaries.
• Task 3: Raster Analysis (Intermediate)
• Download DEM, generate slope and contours, and highlight areas with slope > 15°.
• Task 4: UAV/Drone Data Processing (Advanced)
• Process UAV orthomosaics, digitize building footprints, and classify vegetation using NDVI.

Submission Guidelines:

• Deliverables: Shapefiles, Geo Packages, PDFs, and short reports.
• Compress all deliverables into a single ZIP file and upload them to Google Drive.
