Job Description

Role Overview: As a General Sales & Marketing Professional, you will be responsible for preparing and supporting the technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications, and Sales organization directives. You will participate in kickoff meetings organized by the project team, define costs for proposed solutions, and ensure completion of Project Risk Review documentation in accordance with Hitachi Energy Group and internal policies. Additionally, you will coordinate with internal functions to analyze legal, contractual clauses, risks, and costs associated with projects. Your role will involve analyzing specific technical issues, evaluating customer needs and competitor offers, and performing lost proposal analysis to improve future results. You will also be involved in negotiating agreements, collecting relevant documentation, and providing technical support during meetings with customers. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and support technical/commercial offers based on customer requirements and organizational directives - Participate in kickoff meetings and ensure completion of Project Risk Review documentation - Coordinate with internal functions to analyze legal, contractual clauses, risks, and costs - Analyze technical issues, customer needs, and competitor offers - Perform lost proposal analysis and recommend future actions - Prepare technical and financial aspects of offers, indicating prices and trading conditions - Define suitable technology and product types based on application characteristics - Negotiate agreements and work allocation with bid partners - Collect relevant documentation, manage technical inspections, and provide technical support during meetings - Participate in negotiations with customers on technical, contractual, and commercial content Qualifications Required: - Degree qualifications in Engineering (electrical) or recognized equivalent - Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales and Marketing - Minimum 2 years of experience as a Tendering Engineer - Knowledge of AIS substation equipment: Instrument Transformers/ Live Tank Breakers / Disconnectors & Earthing Switches - Prior experience in Utilities tendering process - Deep knowledge and understanding of the electrical engineering industry - Estimating and tendering experience, preferably in MS Excel based system - Proficiency in using SFDC, MS Word, and MS Excel - Good communication skills and assertive business acumen - Time management, coordination, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to perform in a pressure environment - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language Additional Company Details: You will be expected to embody the Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
