Role Overview:
Lal Sweets is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Sales with a strong background in expanding FMCG businesses in international markets including USA, UK, Dubai, and Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving international sales strategies, building distribution networks, and establishing a strong global footprint for the brand.
Key Responsibilities:
International Business Development:
Identify, develop, and execute strategic sales plans for international markets (USA, UK, Dubai, Canada).
Explore and develop new distribution channels and partnerships in targeted geographies.
Sales Leadership & Strategy:
Set and achieve sales targets for international markets.
Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions where required.
Market Expansion:
Lead the go-to-market strategy for new countries including market research, competitor analysis, and pricing models.
Participate in global trade shows and expos to generate leads and brand visibility.
Client & Channel Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and institutional buyers.
Drive B2B and B2C sales opportunities in target markets.
Regulatory & Export Operations:
Coordinate with regulatory bodies for product registrations, labeling compliance, and import/export documentation.
Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and inventory planning.
Brand Building & Promotion:
Collaborate with the marketing team to tailor campaigns for international consumers.
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all global platforms.
Key Requirements:
7–10 years of proven experience in international FMCG sales, preferably in sweets, snacks, or food & beverage categories.
Strong knowledge and network in global markets such as the USA, UK, Dubai, and Canada.
Experience in launching new products and building brands in foreign territories.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Familiarity with international trade regulations and export documentation.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA in Sales/Marketing/International Business or relevant field.
Exposure to multicultural work environments and global distribution models.
