General Manager- IT Procurement

As the IT Procurement Manager, your role is to lead and manage the organization's IT procurement strategy to ensure cost-effective sourcing, vendor management, compliance, and timely delivery of IT hardware, software, licenses, and services. This is vital to support business growth and digital transformation. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing IT procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives. You will manage end-to-end procurement of IT assets, drive competitive sourcing, tendering, and contract negotiations to optimize costs, collaborate with various business functions to forecast requirements and align budgets. Additionally, you will provide procurement support for overseas locations to leverage brand equity, manage material planning and procurement planning, and oversee global technical management of SAP Concur. In terms of vendor and contract management, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding IT vendors and service providers. Building strong vendor relationships, conducting performance reviews, ensuring compliance with SLAs, and overseeing contract lifecycle management including renewals, amendments, and risk mitigation are all part of your duties. You will also monitor vendor performance to ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to compliance standards. Governance and compliance are key aspects of the role where you will ensure that procurement processes comply with company policies, audit requirements, and statutory guidelines. Driving transparency, accountability, and standardization in procurement practices, as well as implementing systems and tools for process automation and reporting are crucial. Team and stakeholder management are also part of your responsibilities. You will lead and mentor the IT procurement team, partnering with business leaders to understand requirements and provide procurement solutions. Presenting periodic reports, cost analyses, and dashboards to leadership is essential to keep stakeholders informed. Key skills and competencies required for this role include strong expertise in IT procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiations. In-depth knowledge of IT hardware, software licensing models, cloud, and IT services is necessary. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and commercial acumen, strong stakeholder management, communication skills, exposure to ERP/e-procurement systems, and analytics tools are also valued. A proven ability to manage large-scale IT procurement budgets is crucial. Qualifications and experience needed for this position include a graduate degree in Commerce/Engineering/IT; an MBA or equivalent is preferred. You should have 15+ years of progressive experience in IT procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in large/global organizations with complex IT procurement needs will be advantageous.,
