Job Description

Role Overview: As a General Ledger (GL) Accountant, your role will involve performing end-to-end General Accounting tasks including Journal Entry preparation and posting, GL reconciliations, Fixed Assets accounting, and reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial data aligned with accounting standards and company policies. Additionally, you will manage Fixed Assets accounting, conduct transaction matching and variance analysis, and participate in Month-End Close (MEC) processes to support financial reporting accuracy. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and offering clear insights based on financial data analysis will be key aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Perform end-to-end General Accounting tasks such as Journal Entry preparation, GL reconciliations, and Fixed Assets accounting - Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial data in compliance with accounting standards and company policies - Manage Fixed Assets accounting including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and roll-forwards - Conduct transaction matching and variance analysis for financial reporting accuracy - Participate in Month-End Close (MEC) processes including accruals, reclasses, adjustments, and reporting - Maintain adherence to SLA and KPI targets across assigned responsibilities - Collaborate with AP, AR, FP&A, and external auditors as necessary - Interpret and analyze financial data to provide clear insights and solutions - Ensure proper documentation, audit trails, and compliance with internal controls Qualification Required: - 2-3 years of hands-on experience in General Ledger accounting - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance preferred) - Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JDE) is advantageous - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook - Strong time management, organizational ability, and attention to detail - Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and data integrity (Note: No additional details of the company were present in the job description.),
