General Ledger Accountant_4 months Contract Only

Shift-

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with global stakeholders to ensure accurate processing and recording of accruals, amortization, allocations, and reclass entries.
  
• Prepare and reconcile General Ledger accounts, ensuring all aged open items are resolved and balances are well supported.
  
• Participate actively in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for GL accounting.
  
• Process various business accruals (PO and Non-PO) for current liabilities and assets such as purchased services and supplies based on trend analysis.
  
• Record and process statistical entries, ensuring accurate accounting for community benefit schemes.
  
• Manage administrative tasks including reconciliation database maintenance, Recons tool uploads, and access management for new joiners.
  
• Handle group reporting and consolidation activities.
  
• Prepare monthly close reports and perform variance analysis across multiple business entities.
  
• Extract, analyze, and modify monthly reports as needed to resolve financial queries.
  
• Support internal and external audit deliverables related to the General Ledger function.
  
• Regularly update SOPs to reflect process changes, learnings, and exceptions.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• 2-5 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting or related finance functions.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  
• High attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy.
  

Education

• MBA / M.Com / B.Com in Finance

  with

  2-5 years of experience in General Ledger / R2R Accounting

  (Mandatory).
