GCP Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and exposure to machine learning engineering (MLE) to support high-impact banking initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on engineering skills, architectural insight, and a proven track record of building secure, scalable, and intelligent data solutions in financial services. Location: Pune, India (Work from Office - Completely onsite) Experience Required: Minimum 45years Position Type: Full-time Start Date: Immediate or as per notice period Key Responsibilities : Provide technical leadership on GCP data projects, collaborating with business, data science, and ML teams. Design and implement scalable data pipelines using GCP tools (BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, etc.). Support MLOps workflows, including feature engineering and real-time inference. Ensure secure, compliant, and high-quality data infrastructure aligned with banking standards. Optimize BigQuery performance and cost efficiency for large-scale datasets. Enable BI insights using tools like Power BI and Looker. Own the end-to-end data lifecycle across development, deployment, and monitoring. Required Skills: 6–10 years of experience in data engineering; 3+ on GCP. Deep proficiency in GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, Dataproc). Strong Python and SQL skills; familiarity with Terraform and CI/CD tools. Experience supporting ML pipelines and maintaining compliance in regulated environments. Preferred: GCP certifications (Professional Data Engineer / Architect). Familiarity with MLOps (Vertex AI, Kubeflow), financial data domains, and streaming data. Show more Show less
