Garage Maintenace Manager-Bus Body Repair

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Coordination
• Supervise and mentor the body‑shop team: fitters (tinkers), electricians, welders, and painters.
• Allocate work orders, set daily targets, and monitor individual performance.
• Accident Repair Management
• Assess vehicle damage after incidents; prepare repair estimates and work scopes.
• Coordinate dismantling, parts procurement, structural straightening, welding, and refinishing.
• Ensure all repairs meet OEM and safety standards before road‑testing.
• Periodic Body Maintenance
• Develop and manage a preventive maintenance schedule for body panels, paintwork, and structural integrity.
• Inspect corrosion, panel alignment, and sealing—initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Vendor & Workshop Relations
• Manage relationships with external suppliers for specialized parts, sheets, paints, and consumables.
• Negotiate rates and priority slots for outsourced work (e.g., glass fitting, decals).
• Quality Control & Safety
• Implement strict quality checks at each workflow stage—fitment accuracy, weld integrity, paint finish.
• Enforce workshop safety norms, PPE usage, fire prevention, and proper handling of paints/chemicals.
• Reporting & Documentation
• Maintain detailed job cards, material consumption logs, repair timelines, and cost records.
• Produce weekly/monthly reports on shop productivity, turnaround times, and scrap/waste metrics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
