Functional Consultant (Housing, Urban & Municipality Domain)

Role & responsibilities

End-to-end solution of IT systems and software, from functional perspective, while ensuring that it meets the requirements of the project and to the satisfaction of the client. This role involves understanding existing processes, identifying gaps, proposing improvements, and supporting the implementation of functional solutions.

Responsibilities:

i. Conduct AS-IS analysis of current business processes and systems.

ii. Gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

iii. Support the design of TO-BE processes and system workflows.

iv. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.

v. Assist in testing, user training, and system rollout.

vi. Prepare functional documentation such as FRS, process maps, and reports.

vii. Liaise with stakeholders to address queries and provide functional support throughout the project lifecycle.

viii. Provide functional inputs for RFP preparation, including complete process flow and solution design.

ix. Engage the client and implementing partners on required actions to ensure agreed service level agreements.

Qualification:

i. BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science/ Electronics/ IT from Institute/University recognized by UGC/AICTE.

ii. Minimum 7 years of experience in reputed IT organization(s) and minimum 3

years of experience in business analysis, functional requirement analysis and implementation of business logic.

Desirable Experience:

i. Experience in Software project, implementation, testing, delivery and maintenance (preferable), especially in Urban e-Governance Solutions.

ii. Experience in solution design and functional requirement gathering for e-Governance/Smart City/ Urban Projects.

iii. Exposure to public cloud service providers, preferably in Government Community Cloud and hybrid architecture.

iv. Exposure to GIS solutions, ERP/HRMS, project management systems.

v. Familiarity with SLAs, service benchmarking, and monitoring frameworks.

vi. Should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills in making the appropriate technical decisions.

vii. Experience in Contract Management & Vendor Management.

viii. Good knowledge of SLA Tools and operations.

ix. Certifications in business analysis/project management will be preferred.

x. Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
