Functional Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.

• Create and participate

  in process flows, functional documents, and project discussions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented effectively.
• Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and workflow documentation.
• Participate in project planning, sprint meetings, and functional reviews.
• Support UAT by preparing test cases, coordinating with users, and tracking issues to closure.
• Assist in change management activities and ensure smooth transition during system enhancements or new implementations.
• Produce high-quality reports, presentations, and functional documentation.

• Interact with clients regularly to provide updates on project status, clarify requirements, and gather feedback.

• Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities to improve processes.
• Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 34 years of experience as a Functional Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of business processes, requirement gathering, and documentation practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, or similar BA platforms.
• Ability to create process flows, wireframes, and business cases.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Ability to participate effectively in client calls and maintain professional communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in domains such as IT, SaaS, finance, e-commerce, or enterprise systems.
• Basic understanding of SQL, data analysis, or reporting tools.
• Certifications like CBAP, CCBA, or Agile BA are a plus.
