Power BI Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced dashboards and reports, automating data workflows, and delivering high-quality insights that support decision-making across the business. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep Power BI expertise, and hands-on experience with process automation and data visualization.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports with advanced DAX, measures, and KPIs.

Automate data refreshes, workflows, and pipelines to ensure real-time reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Connect and integrate Power BI with multiple data sources, including SQL databases, Excel, APIs, and cloud platforms.

Troubleshoot data quality issues, ensure data governance standards, and implement best practices for reporting.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective solutions.

Develop and maintain documentation for dashboards, processes, and data models.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives by developing automation solutions beyond dashboards (e.g., Power Automate).

Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members and business users on dashboard usage and self-service analytics.

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Power BI Specialist, Data Analyst, or Business Intelligence Developer.

Strong proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and data modeling concepts.

Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Power Automate, SQL scripts, or similar workflow technologies.

Solid knowledge of data analysis, data visualization, and dashboard storytelling techniques.

Proficiency in managing different data sources (SQL, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, etc.).

Strong analytical thinking with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing principles is a plus.

Familiarity with Python, R, or other scripting languages for advanced analytics (desired).

Strong communication skills to explain insights and dashboards to non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Profile

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.

35 years of demonstrated experience in Power BI and business analytics.

Experience in creating dynamic dashboards for business operations, sales, finance, or HR functions.

Ability to work independently while also collaborating across multi-functional teams.
