As a Full Stack Developer at Vidysea, you will be a vital part of our expanding development team. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with extensive experience in Next.js and Node.js. Your primary responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of scalable and high-performance web applications and APIs, spanning across both frontend and backend technologies. In the frontend domain, you will be tasked with building responsive, accessible, and performant web interfaces utilizing Next.js (React). Leveraging Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Static Site Generation (SSG) will be essential to optimize performance and enhance SEO. Furthermore, you will implement state management using tools such as Redux or Context API, integrate RESTful API endpoints into frontend components, and ensure top-notch UI/UX quality through collaboration with designers and the use of tools like Tailwind CSS or styled-components. On the backend side, your role will involve designing and developing scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and Express.js. You will be responsible for implementing data models, business logic, and database integrations (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL), as well as building authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth). Additionally, optimizing application performance and security, along with deploying and maintaining backend services on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, hands-on experience with Next.js and React, solid backend experience with Node.js, familiarity with modern database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Prisma), an understanding of RESTful APIs and API design best practices, experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to write clean, modular code. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of microservices architecture, exposure to testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library), understanding of event-driven systems, and familiarity with design systems or component libraries (e.g., Radix UI, Material UI). Candidates should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or possess equivalent practical experience to be considered for this role.
