Frontend Engineer (IIT/NIT/BITs 2022 And 2023 Passout Overview

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Create reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Identify and troubleshoot front-end issues across multiple browsers and devices.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and propose how they can benefit the company.
• Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, and testing.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand user needs.
• Implement best practices for front-end development, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate with team members on project planning and design sessions.
• Monitor performance metrics and improve application performance as required.
• Document development processes, code changes, and application updates.
• Assist in the design and development of A/B testing strategies.
• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Frontend Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React.js or Angular.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Experience with front-end tools like Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt.
• Knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first development.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Awareness of UI/UX principles and best practices.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technology trends.
• Experience with testing frameworks is a plus.
