Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Register patients and update personal and medical information accurately in the hospital system
  • Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as per patient or doctor requirements
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to appropriate departments
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for smooth patient flow
  • Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and personal information
  • Collect and process payments, issue receipts, and manage billing inquiries
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the front office and reception area
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as maintaining records, filing, and documentation
  • Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively, informing the relevant personnel as needed
  • Comply with hospital policies, protocols, and quality standards

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education:

    Graduate degree preferred (any discipline); Diploma in Hospital Administration is an advantage
  • Experience:

    2 to 5 years of experience in a front office or customer service role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setup
  • Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and hospital management software (HMS)
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations calmly
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
  • Polite, patient, and empathetic attitude
