Job Description

Organisation Name:

Implement urgent updates and modifications to existing websites as needed
Develop new websites and web pages from scratch using WordPress
Provide expert guidance on layouts, information architecture, and site structure
Ensure website performance optimization across all platforms
Maintain brand consistency while creating engaging user experiences
Apply usability best practices to all web development work
Collaborate with content creators and stakeholders within the ashram
Handle database updates and integrations

Requirements:

Proven experience in front-end web development, particularly with WordPress
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with database updates and integrations, in particular relational databases and SQL
Proficiency with Figma for design collaboration and implementation
Experience building complete websites from concept to deployment
Understanding of UI/UX principles and information architecture
Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques
Eye for design and ability to implement brand guidelines consistently
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Willingness to work on-site at our ashram in Muddenahalli

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with WordPress theme development and customization
Familiarity with PHP and WordPress hooks system
Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Portfolio demonstrating both technical and design capabilities
Experience working in spiritual or non-profit organizations
Basic understanding of SEO principles
