Description
As a Senior Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions in the complex manufacturing domain. Your role will involve leading the development of large enterprise-level applications and developing a deep understanding of Manufacturing concepts and MES products to deliver configurable solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and lead software development managers, technical leads, software architects, and other technical staff - Oversee all activities of the software development team, set clear goals, and provide mentoring, guidance, and direction - Promote diversity and collaboration within the team to encourage innovation and inclusivity - Utilize agile practices to support modern and efficient software development - Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance development processes, tools, and team capabilities - Explore and leverage new AI tools to optimize productivity and enhance team efficiency - Create and maintain technical architecture to meet technical, market, and business goals - Lead the strategic direction and execution of software architecture to ensure alignment with evolving business needs - Interact with prospects, customers, business partners, senior management, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle - Maintain a strong customer focus by delivering high-quality software solutions that meet client needs and expectations - Foster a culture of excellence and innovation by encouraging creative problem-solving, adopting emerging technologies, and setting high performance standards - Train and mentor staff in design patterns, best practices, and the software development lifecycle - Share expertise in architecture, design, and implementation of product capabilities to improve team performance and knowledge - Stay current with technological advancements and company standards - Lead the hiring process to acquire top talent aligned with team needs and organizational goals - Oversee onboarding processes to integrate new hires effectively and foster a high-performance culture - Own and manage the software development budget, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to achieve key business outcomes on time and within budget - Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies - Define and monitor key quality metrics to track performance, identify trends, and drive improvements - Prepare and present reports and dashboards to leadership and stakeholders as needed Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in agile practices - Strong leadership and management skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - In-depth knowledge of software development processes and methodologies - Experience in developing enterprise-level applications - Ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation - Understanding of manufacturing concepts and MES products This company values excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in software development.
