Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Django/FastAPI Developer to join our engineering team and help drive the technical excellence of our enterprise-scale distributed systems. This role requires a seasoned professional who can work autonomously across both traditional and modern Python frameworks, think architecturally, and guide the team toward robust, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will evolve into a code reviewer and technical mentor, ensuring our codebase maintains the highest standards of quality and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable Django and FastAPI applications following best practices and established patterns
• Conduct architecture-level reasoning to evaluate trade-offs between different technical approaches
• Lead technical design discussions and provide guidance on system architecture decisions
• Review and refactor existing code to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability
• Ensure consistency in coding standards, patterns, and conventions across Django and FastAPI codebases
• Bridge traditional Django patterns with modern async FastAPI approaches

Development & Implementation

• Build robust RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework and FastAPI
• Design and optimize database schemas with Django ORM and SQLAlchemy
• Implement complex business logic while maintaining code readability and maintainability
• Work with distributed systems and handle data synchronization challenges
• Integrate with external services, APIs, and third-party libraries
• Leverage async/await patterns in FastAPI for high-performance endpoints

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of professional Python web development experience with Django and/or FastAPI
• Strong experience with Django REST Framework and/or FastAPI for API development
• Deep understanding of database design, optimization, and query performance (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows
