Role Description

Freelance Mainframe CI/CD & DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Support

  mainframe CI/CD enablement

  for enterprise-scale modernization programs
• Assist with

  SCM modernization

  , aligning mainframe/Endeavor source control with

  Git-based workflows

• Collaborate with DevOps, SCM, and architecture teams to onboard applications into

  standardized CI/CD pipelines

• Support pipeline

  build, test, and deployment automation

  aligned with enterprise DevOps practices
• Track and coordinate project dependencies such as

  RACF access provisioning

  , environment readiness, and tool availability
• Participate in daily project status calls and provide clear delivery updates
• Support issue resolution and dependency management across teams
• Ensure deliveries align with

  project plans, milestones, and governance standards

• Contribute to

  observability, monitoring, and operational readiness

  of CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with

  mainframe DevOps / CI/CD enablement

• Experience modernizing

  mainframe SCM

  and integrating with

  Git-based version control

• Experience working with

  enterprise CI/CD tools and pipelines

• Understanding of

  mainframe security and access controls (RACF)

• Experience working in

  large-scale enterprise or global transformation programs

• Strong communication skills for cross-team coordination and status reporting
• Experience supporting operational readiness and monitoring for CI/CD pipelines
