We provide customized, affordable solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients, regardless of their size. Role Description We are seeking a freelance GCP Data Engineer with expertise in Scala , Apache Spark , Airflow , and experience with Automic and Laminar frameworks. The role focuses on designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and workflow automation within the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Orchestrate ETL workflows using Apache Airflow Integrate and automate data processing using Automic job scheduling Utilize Laminar for reactive programming or stream processing within pipelines (if applicable) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data flows and transformations Ensure pipeline performance, scalability, and monitoring across environments Troubleshoot and resolve issues in batch and streaming data processes Required Skills Strong programming skills in Scala Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for distributed data processing Experience working with GCP data services (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow preferred) Proficiency with Airflow for workflow orchestration Experience using Automic for job scheduling Familiarity with Laminar or similar frameworks for reactive or stream-based processing Good understanding of data engineering best practices and pipeline optimization Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams Show more Show less
