As a Subeditor/Copyeditor at Hogarth, your role will involve the in-country editing of localised customer-facing marketing materials from US-English to UK-English for the Indian market. Your attention to detail and passion for linguistics will be crucial for success in this position. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review, edit, and adapt US-English long copy for the UK-English market in India. - Collaborate with editing teams to ensure consistency with the brand's tone and accurate translations. - Maintain a consistent tone of voice and cultural relevance using glossaries and style guides. - Manage workload efficiently and communicate any downtime to your Team Lead. - Meet deadlines according to the production schedule and ensure high-quality deliverables. - Be willing to travel to client offices in-country and overseas at short notice for 2-5 weeks at a time. **Qualifications Required:** - Experience in subediting and/or copyediting for news publications or marketing communication materials, preferably in advertising. - Proficiency in oral and written UK-English. - Strong attention to detail and meticulous editing skills. - Self-motivated, process-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
