Freelance Content Writer / Copy Writer - (Goa based candidate only)

We are looking for a versatile and impact-driven Copywriter / Content Writer to help bring our stories, campaigns, and vision to life across platforms. This freelance role is ideal for someone who can adapt their writing style across formats – from crisp social media captions to long-form policy articles.

Key Responsibilities

• Social Media Copywriting: Write engaging, clear, and on-brand copy for our social media campaigns – posts, carousels, reels, and call-to-action prompts.
• Articles & Blog Content: Research and develop thought-provoking articles, stories, and human-interest features for our website and external publications.
• Press Releases & Editorials: Draft compelling press releases, editorials, and op-eds that highlight our impact and initiatives for media and stakeholders.
• Website Content Writing & Structuring: Review and rewrite existing website copy; help define a clearer content structure and tone of voice aligned with our mission.
• Advertising & Campaign Copy: Craft copy for brochures, posters, donor pitches, and awareness campaigns that speak to varied audiences – from grassroots to policymakers.
• Research and Report Writing: Assist in drafting research-backed reports, briefing notes, and whitepapers, with attention to clarity, tone, and readability.
• Speechwriting & Talking Points: Support the team in writing speeches, talking points, and scripts for public engagements, launches, and official statements.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: In copywriting, content writing, or communications – ideally with exposure to social impact, education, or nonprofit sectors.

• Skills:
• Exceptional command of written English (British English preferred)
• Ability to write across tones – persuasive, informative, inspirational
• Strong research and summarisation skills
• Familiarity with digital publishing tools and social media best practices
• Capacity to work independently, meet deadlines, and respond to feedback

• Bonus Points for:
• Experience working with NGOs or social sector campaigns
• Ability to write in a second Indian language (especially Konkani and/or Marathi)
• A portfolio demonstrating range – short-form to long-form content
