• Position Overview

*

• The Foundry Head will oversee the entire foundry operation — from melting and moulding to casting, machining, and finishing — ensuring efficient production, quality assurance, cost optimisation, and adherence to safety and environmental standards. The role requires a technically strong and leadership-driven individual capable of managing teams, equipment, and resources to meet company production and quality goals.

• Key Responsibilities

*

• Lead and supervise daily foundry operations: melting, moulding, pouring, fettling, machining, and finishing.

*

• Ensure adherence to product quality standards (RDSO, ISO) and customer specifications.

*

• Plan and execute production schedules to achieve on-time delivery and productivity targets.

*

• Oversee maintenance and upkeep of furnaces, moulding machines, and CNC/finishing equipment.

*

• Implement cost-saving measures through waste reduction, process improvements, and energy optimisation.

*

• Enforce strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental protocols.

*

• Manage manpower planning, skill development, and performance evaluation of the foundry team.

*

• Collaborate with Quality, Design, and Supply Chain teams for seamless operations.

*

• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) — yield, rejection rate, uptime, output, and cost efficiency.

• Lead continuous improvement and process-upgradation initiatives.

• Qualifications & Experience

*

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical / Mechanical / Materials Engineering (Master’s preferred).

*

• 10–15 years of experience in foundry operations, preferably in ferrous casting and machining environments.

*

• In-depth knowledge of melting, moulding, casting, heat treatment, and machining processes.

*

• Proven leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.

*

• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems.

*

• Exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices is desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
