Founding Operations Officer

Role Overview: Surepath Systems, an ambitious food delivery startup in Chennai, is looking for a Founding Operations Officer to lead the transformation of the board's vision into operational reality. This is a founding leadership position where you will be responsible for building systems, processes, and teams from scratch to create a scalable logistics platform serving local communities with speed and reliability. Key Responsibilities: - Own end-to-end P&L responsibility and drive profitability with clear unit economics - Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for hyperlocal food delivery launch - Design and implement operational KPIs and build scalable processes for hyperlocal markets - Architect core operational processes, implement monitoring systems, and establish quality standards - Source, negotiate, and onboard restaurant partners and manage delivery partner network - Recruit, train, and lead operations team, build high-performance culture, and mentor team members - Collaborate with technology partners, drive technology adoption, and implement data-driven decision-making - Run rapid experiments, build feedback loops, pivot based on data, and document learnings Qualification Required: - 10+ years of progressive experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management - Minimum 5 years of deep food delivery or logistics industry experience - P&L management experience and startup environment experience - Team building experience with a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) - Pedigree from leading food delivery platforms, experience in hyperlocal delivery operations, and marketplace business background - Skills in strategic thinking, AI/ML adoption, data analytics, process automation, leadership, and operational excellence - Agility, learning agility, customer obsession, and high business judgment (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.),
