Formulation Chemist: Haircare

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve haircare formulations (cleansing, conditioning, treatments, styling).
• Research hair biology, scalp concerns, and new ingredients/technologies.
• Conduct lab tests to check product stability, performance, and safety.
• Analyze performance data and support product claim validation.
• Work with marketing, packaging, and production teams during scale-up.
• Stay updated on trends in haircare and suggest new product ideas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Trichology, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in haircare R&D.
• Hands-on knowledge of formulation, hair testing methods, and active ingredients.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
