Fixed Term Contract in Hindalco Industries Limited

• Monitor all site construction activities to ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Identify potential hazards specific to greenfield projects such as excavation, structural work, heavy equipment movement, and electrical installations.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to site-specific safety management plans (SMPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with local, state, and national health and safety regulations.
• Recommend and implement effective control measures to eliminate or mitigate hazards.
• Conduct safety induction programs for new workers, contractors, and visitors.
• Organize periodic toolbox talks, mock drills (fire, medical emergency, etc.), and job-specific training sessions.
• Promote safety culture by raising awareness and encouraging participation in safety programs.
• Perform regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, equipment, or behaviours.
• Conduct internal safety audits and participate in external audits as required.
• Verify compliance with PPE usage, housekeeping standards, and safety signage deployment.
• Lead or support root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare investigation reports with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Track implementation of CAPA to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain updated records of safety inspections, training attendance, incident reports, and safety committee meetings.
• Ensure proper documentation of permits (hot work, height work, confined space entry, etc.).
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports for submission to site management and corporate safety team.
• Coordinate with contractors to align on safety expectations and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor compliance of contractor teams with site safety rules and provide guidance as necessary.
• Ensure emergency response plans are developed, communicated, and tested periodically.
• Conduct thorough inspections of all construction equipment such as

  Hydra cranes, Farana, Mobile Cranes, MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms), and other heavy machinery

  upon entry to the site.
• Review of Lifting Plan and Rigging Plan.
• Remain present during critical lifting operations to ensure compliance with the approved plan.
• Stop the activity immediately in case of any unsafe conditions or deviations from the plan.
• Works effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and contractor staff.
• Takes prompt and decisive action to stop unsafe activities.
• Communicates concerns assertively while maintaining respect and professionalism.
• Clearly and confidently communicates safety expectations, procedures, and corrective actions to all stakeholders, including workers, supervisors, and contractors.
• Conducts toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions effectively.
