Job description Installation: Carefully read and interpret installation plans and blueprints to accurately assemble laboratory furniture components. Precisely measure and mark locations for furniture and lab Instruments placement within the laboratory. Assemble furniture units, including attaching work surfaces, sink fixtures, electrical outlets, and specialized features like Lab Instruments. Securely fasten furniture to walls, floors, and ceilings using appropriate mounting hardware. Align and level furniture components to ensure proper functionality. Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine inspections of installed laboratory furniture and lab Instruments to identify potential issues like damage, wear, or malfunctioning components. Address minor repairs, including replacing damaged parts, adjusting hardware, and sealing leaks. Coordinate with specialized technicians for complex repairs requiring electrical or plumbing expertise. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols when handling chemicals, hazardous materials, and electrical components within a laboratory environment. Ensure installed furniture meets relevant safety standards, including proper ventilation for fume hoods and chemical-resistant surfaces. Conduct thorough quality checks to verify furniture installation meets specifications and is functional.
