Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Firmware Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidatewill have a strong background in developing firmware for low-power battery-powered or wirelessdevices. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and debugging firmware for our nextgeneration products, from initial concept to mass production.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust, efficient, and reliable firmware for embedded systems.
  • Work with real-time operating systems (RTOS) to manage system resources and ensure
optimal performance.
  • Architect and implement firmware solutions with a focus on low-power consumption and
battery life.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate firmware with other system
components.
  • Perform code reviews, static code analysis, and follow established coding guidelines to
maintain high code quality.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues at all levels, from application code down to the hardware.
  • Utilize hardware tools such as oscilloscopes and USB analyzers for debugging and validation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 4-9 years of experience in firmware development for low-power battery devices
or wireless devices.
  • Embedded Systems: Strong experience in embedded systems design and firmware
architecture.
  • Programming: Expertise in C programming for microcontrollers and a solid understanding of
debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Drivers: Strong understanding or hands-on experience with one or more of the following
drivers: I2C, SPI, UART, Flash, and EEPROM.
  • Build Systems: Strong knowledge of Makefiles and CMake.
  • Debugging: Strong debugging skills and proficiency with hardware debugging tools
(oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Excellent analytical skills and a collaborative team player mindset.
