Job Description

As a Level 2 Support Engineer, your role will involve providing support to customers via phone, email, and case portal. You will be responsible for ensuring timely resolution within defined SLAs and escalating critical issues when necessary. Additionally, you will provide support for firewall devices by handling tasks such as setup, upgrades, policy configuration, and troubleshooting. Your key responsibilities will include: - Providing L2 support for firewall devices, including setup, upgrades, policy configuration, and troubleshooting. - Assisting with the configuration of NAT, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), firewall rules, routing, and proxy policies. - Analysing traffic logs, system health alerts, and security events using diagnostic tools. - Guiding users on best practices for perimeter defence, intrusion prevention, and remote access. - Working with customers to resolve device performance, failover, and HA setup issues. - Contributing to internal knowledge base articles and suggesting improvements to existing documentation. - Collaborating with L3 engineering, QA, and product teams for unresolved issues and product-level bugs. - Participating in on-call rotations and providing support coverage for high-priority or after-hours incidents as needed. In terms of technical skills required, you should have a strong understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. You should also be well-versed in routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP. Hands-on experience with WatchGuard Firebox or comparable UTM/NGFWs (Fortinet, SonicWall, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, etc.) is essential. Additionally, familiarity with IPSuite, VPN, Routing & Switching, ACL, NAT, DNS, DHCP, Packet Analysis, MFA, IPSec, SSL, Log analysis, Syslog, SNMP, and basic scripting for automation/log parsing is preferred. Proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce or Zendesk is also required. Preferred certifications for this role include: - WatchGuard Certified System Professional (WCSP Firebox) or any firewall certifications. - CompTIA Network+ / Security+ - Cisco CCNA Security Qualifications Ideally, you should have 7 to 9 years of relevant work experience in Network Security products and hold a degree in BSc, BCA, B. Tech., M. Tech., or MCA from a reputed university.,
