Job Title: Fire Technician

Job Purpose

The Fire Technician will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fire protection systems including fire alarms, sprinklers, hydrants, extinguishers, and emergency lighting.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire safety systems to ensure functionality and compliance with local regulations and company policies.
• Identify and troubleshoot faults or malfunctions in fire detection and suppression systems.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Support fire drills and assist in emergency response procedures.
• Ensure availability of fire safety equipment and report any deficiencies immediately.
• Stay updated on relevant fire safety codes, standards, and best practices
• Train employees on the correct use of fire extinguishers and basic fire safety practices, if required.
• Coordinate with vendors and external agencies for system audits, repairs, and compliance checks.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fire system installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Knowledge of fire protection systems, codes, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Preferred Skills

• Certification in Fire Safety (e.g., NFPA, Fire Protection Technician courses).
• Experience in large facilities, malls, industrial, or commercial premises.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,508.82 - ₹25,000.00 per month
