Fire And Safety Officer

Develop and maintain comprehensive fire safety plans, policies and procedures for the hospital, ensuring compliance with relevant fire safety codes and regulations.

Conduct regular fire safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards and take corrective actions to eliminate or mitigate them.

3.

Oversee the inspection, maintenance and testing of fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, alarms, sprinkler systems and emergency lighting.

4.

Provide fire safety training and education to hospital staff, including proper fire response procedures, the use of fire safety equipment and evacuation drills.

5.

Develop and coordinate fire drills and evacuation plans for the hospital, ensuring that staff and patients are familiar with escape routes and assembly points.

6.

Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure that the hospital remains compliant with fire safety regulations and standards.

7.

Collaborate with local fire authorities and relevant agencies to facilitate safety inspections, address compliance issues and maintain positive relationships.

8.

Participate in emergency preparedness and response planning, working with the hospital's emergency management team to ensure readiness for fire incidents.

9.

Investigate fire incidents to determine causes, evaluate response procedures and recommend improvements to prevent future incidents.

10.

Maintain detailed records of fire safety measures, equipment maintenance and staff training to demonstrate compliance and preparedness.

11.

Communicate with hospital management, staff and external agencies to disseminate fire safety information, updates and recommendations.
