Position Summary:

The Fire & Safety Officer ensures the safety of residents and property by managing fire systems, responding to emergencies, conducting drills, and maintaining firefighting equipment. The role focuses on disaster preparedness, fire prevention, and promoting fire safety awareness among all stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Fire Services Engineering, NFSC, or equivalent.
• 5-6 years of experience in real estate, hospitality, or construction industries (residential experience preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of firefighting techniques, fire suppression systems, and safety regulations.
• Strong ability to operate and maintain fire detection/protection systems.
• Proficiency in fire reporting procedures and communication equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume designated roles during fire incidents and execute firefighting operations per command structure.
• Perform equipment setup and execute rescue, firefighting, and salvage operations at fire scenes.
• Dispatch emergency personnel and oversee emergency responses.
• Inspect fire water tanks daily and perform rounds of fit-out flats for safety compliance.
• Issue safety permits and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Prepare and implement disaster and emergency management plans.
• Maintain and operate fire detection and protection systems efficiently.
• Conduct regular fire drills and educate residents and staff on fire safety procedures.
• Perform routine tests and maintenance of firefighting equipment and systems.
• Overhaul fire-affected structures to prevent rekindling and document inventory of used equipment.
• Monitor and maintain logs and records related to fire systems, escalating issues to relevant authorities.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure effective fire safety operations and interdepartmental communication.
• Respond to resident queries and provide timely updates on fire safety measures.
• Conduct training sessions for staff, residents, and fire personnel on safety and firefighting.
• Prepare reports on fire system operations and ensure timely HPT and refilling of extinguishers.
• Inspect firefighting systems weekly and submit detection system reports biannually.
• Submit daily rounds and reports to the technical manager and security officer.
• Ensure accurate communication with residents, including updates on closed flats.
