Finops Practitioner

As a Senior FinOps Practitioner at HCL Software, your role will be crucial in optimizing Azure cloud spending, driving cost efficiency, and fostering a culture of financial accountability. You will collaborate with engineering, finance, and product teams to ensure efficient utilization of cloud resources. **Responsibilities:** - Analyze Azure cost and usage data to identify optimization opportunities. - Implement cost-saving strategies like reserved instances, savings plans, spot instances, and right-sizing. - Develop and maintain cost allocation models for accurate cloud spending attribution. - Implement and manage Azure Cost Management + Billing tools. - Provide recommendations on architectural changes to enhance cost efficiency. - Hands-on experience with FinOps platforms like Cloudability, Cloud Health, MyXalytics, etc. - Knowledge of AWS and GCP is advantageous. **FinOps Framework Implementation:** - Drive adoption and implementation of FinOps principles and best practices. - Develop and maintain FinOps policies, procedures, and documentation. - Establish and monitor KPIs related to cloud cost and usage. - Conduct training programs on FinOps for technical and non-technical teams. **Forecasting and Budgeting:** - Develop accurate cloud cost forecasts and budgets. - Collaborate with finance teams to align cloud spending with financial plans. - Provide regular reports and insights on cloud cost trends and variances. **Collaboration and Communication:** - Work closely with engineering, product, and finance teams to ensure alignment on cost optimization initiatives. - Communicate cloud cost insights and recommendations to stakeholders. - Participate in cloud architecture reviews to ensure cost-effectiveness. - Optimize licensing and billing with vendors. **Experience:** - 10+ years of overall experience with 5+ years in cloud cost management, focusing on Azure. - Proven track record in optimizing Azure cloud spending. - Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP services optimization. - Strong understanding of Azure services, pricing models, and relevant Azure tools. - Familiarity with FinOps principles and practices. **Skills:** - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Understanding of Cloud governance and financial principles. **Certifications (Preferred):** - Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate - FinOps Certified Practitioner If you are interested and can join within the next 30 days, please share your CV at syedhasan_abbas@hcl-software.com.,
