Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Close Management: Lead the month-end and year-end financial close processes, prepare accurate financial statements, and management accounts ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP or IFRS147. Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, approve invoices, reconcile vendor and customer balances, and manage master data related to accounting126. Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Monitor daily cash flows, forecast cash needs, maintain working capital, and ensure liquidity to meet obligations1. Budgeting & Forecasting: Coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyze variances, and run scenario models to support strategic decisions14. Internal Controls & Compliance: Design, implement, and monitor internal control policies to safeguard company assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and prepare for audits147. Audit Coordination: Liaise with internal and external auditors, compile audit documentation, and resolve audit findings1. Financial Analysis & Risk Management: Analyze financial data to identify trends, recommend cost-saving measures, and advise on investment and risk mitigation strategies14. Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor accounting and finance staff, ensuring efficient finance operations1. Process Improvement: Lead ERP implementations, automation initiatives, and continuous improvements in finance processes14. Stakeholder Reporting: Present financial insights and reports to senior management, boards, and investors to guide business decisions1. Key Skills and Qualifications Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory; a Master’s degree or an MBA is preferred. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is highly valued in India12. Experience: Typically requires 5+ years in managerial accounting or finance roles with experience in financial reporting, compliance, and team management23. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and strong understanding of tax laws and regulatory frameworks applicable in India12. Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, leadership qualities, communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines17.
