We are looking for a Finance System Engineer with strong technical acumen and deep finance expertise to join our team. This individual will be a key player in designing, building, and optimizing scalable financial models and processes within our planning platform. The ideal candidate will be passionate about transforming complex financial data into intuitive, automated solutions that empower strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Pigment System Development & Administration:
- Own and maintain the financial planning system/platform (Pigment)
- Continuous enhancement of financial models, reporting, and dashboards in Pigment.
- Partner with FP&A, accounting, and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions in Pigment.
- Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and efficient model performance through continuous monitoring and optimization.
Financial Modeling & Planning:
- Design, implement, build, maintain dynamic financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and scenario analysis.
- Integrate business drivers and KPIs into models to enhance strategic planning capabilities.
- Build reusable templates and frameworks for cross-functional planning and reporting.
Data Integration & Analytics:
- Extract, transform, and load data from source systems into Pigment or other BI tools.
- Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to ensure seamless data flows and high data quality.
- Create automated processes for data validation, enrichment, and reconciliation.
Stakeholder Enablement & Support:
- Serve as the go-to expert for all Pigment-related questions and training needs.
- Develop user guides, documentation, and training materials to support adoption and self-service analytics.
- Provide hands-on support during key planning cycles (budgeting, quarterly reforecasting, long-range planning).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
- 5 7+ years of relevant experience in finance systems, FP&A, or enterprise performance management (EPM).
- Proven experience designing and deploying solutions in
Pigment
or similar planning tools (Anaplan, Adaptive, etc.).
- Advanced
SQL
skills and understanding of relational data models.
- Strong financial modeling skills, with ability to translate complex business logic into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working cross-functionally across finance, IT, and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-tech, SaaS, or fast-paced growth environments.
- Familiarity with additional tools such as Python, Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Knowledge of finance processes such as revenue modeling, SaaS metrics, workforce planning, and capital forecasting.
