Description
Individuals in Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Testing are responsible for assessing outcomes from activities and processes against conformance with applicable requirements to strengthen risk management quality. This includes quality testing performed for business function quality control and transformation lead quality control post completion of an activity/process. The role involves developing and executing Monitoring and Testing for controls, such as control design assessment, design of operational effectiveness for monitoring & testing tools, monitoring/testing design assessment, and execution of monitoring/testing tools to assess the effectiveness of key controls designed to address defined risks. Responsibilities: - Support the assessment of activities and processes as per required Policies, Standards, and Procedures to strengthen risk management quality - Conduct routine testing of internal activities and processes to ensure adherence to established quality standards and identify areas of risk or non-compliance - Review stakeholder/client feedback and respond to any quality assurance complaints or issues in a timely and efficient manner - Assist in quality testing performed for business function quality control and transformation lead quality control post completion of an activity/process - Develop and execute Monitoring and Testing for controls, including control design assessment and design of operational effectiveness for monitoring & testing tools, monitoring/testing design assessment, and execution of monitoring/testing tools - Report on quality control outcomes and control effectiveness to top management and relevant stakeholders - Have a good understanding of the Citi Risk & control framework and the underlying fundamentals of Risk Management - Help teams involved in the end-to-end monitoring of the controls as defined in Risk Management policy - Participate in strategic initiatives for control performance enhancements - Analyze documentation and processes in leadership meetings to ensure risks and control points are properly addressed - Assist in Control & Monitoring Design Assessment (CMDA) meetings - Identify any monitoring breaks and suggest enhancements - Assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets - Supervise teams effectively and create accountability for maintaining standards Qualifications: - Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions in the financial services industry - Ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls - Strong knowledge in the development and execution of controls - Proven experience in control-related functions in the financial industry - Proven experience in implementing sustainable solutions and improving processes - Understanding of compliance laws, rules, regulations, and best practices - Understanding of Citi's Policies, Standards, and Procedures - Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes - Strong verbal and written communication skills, engaging at the senior management level - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Education: - Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience This position falls under the Job Family Group: Controls Governance & Oversight and the Job Family: Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Testing.
