Job Description

As a Finance Partner at APM Terminals Pipavav in Gujarat, you will play a crucial role in shaping the success of the Finance function at Pipavav. Working closely with the CFO, your responsibilities will involve managing daily finance operations, contributing to the long-term strategic direction of the Finance function and Gateway Terminals, and providing actionable insights for decision-making. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Strategic & Financial Leadership:** - Partner with the CFO and COO to develop and implement financial strategies for maximizing growth. - Build financial models, business cases, and capex plans aligned with long-term objectives. - Lead rolling forecasts and set ambitious yet achievable financial targets. - **Revenue & Cost Optimization:** - Analyze cost structures to identify opportunities for cost reduction. - Review revenue processes, such as credit notes and ASRs, to uncover growth opportunities. - Drive efficiency and profitability initiatives with cross-functional teams. - **Audit & Compliance:** - Oversee statutory, cost, and group audits to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance. - Assess the effectiveness of internal audits and ensure findings add tangible value. - Close audit observations with HoDs and present insights to senior leadership. - **Performance & Reporting:** - Deliver concise and insightful financial commentary for board meetings. - Provide proactive business insights during terminal performance reviews. - Lead month-end close processes with in-depth variance analysis and reporting. - **Governance & Controls:** - Establish monitoring systems and dashboards for financial performance. - Forecast impairment assessments and ensure alignment with global and regional finance standards. - Ensure consistent reporting standards and compliance. - **Special Projects:** - Drive finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations and ad-hoc projects. **Qualifications & Experience:** - 10+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in large-scale or capital-intensive industries. - Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification. - Strong expertise in financial planning, audits, cost optimization, and compliance. - Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders with strong business acumen. - Experience in managing cross-functional projects and driving process improvements. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. The job location for this role is in Ahmedabad with frequent on-site presence required at APMT Pipavav terminal.
