Finance Manager (Shipping Industry)

As a Finance Manager in the shipping industry for a leading European brand, you will report to the Group financial controller based in Singapore. Your main responsibility will be overseeing all aspects of the accounting, financial, and management reporting function. This includes corporate management, statutory and tax compliance for the Company and entities within the Group. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the accounting and preparation of financial and management reports in line with local GAAP and group accounting standards (IFRS). - Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly reports and financial statements to the holding company for group reporting and consolidation. - Provide financial forecasts, conduct annual budget analysis, and perform risk assessments for decision-making by the group and management. - Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and ERP tools to enhance accounting procedures and efficiency. - Ensure full compliance with statutory reporting, accounting standards, audit, and tax regulatory requirements. - Establish strong internal controls to protect company assets and manage risks effectively. - Lead and mentor the accounting team for performance growth, ensuring adherence to internal control and reporting timelines. - Collaborate cross-functionally with the holding company to align financial objectives with business operations. - Engage with auditors, tax agents, company law matter teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance. Qualifications Required: - Chartered Accountant (CA) or Masters degree in Finance/Accounting. - Minimum 8 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. - Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS) and hands-on experience in financial and management reporting and analytics. - Prior experience in ERP processes is preferred. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience in enhancing a finance function and controls is preferred. - Proficiency in managing or supervising an accounting team. - Good knowledge of direct and indirect tax compliance matters.,
