About the Company:

The company is a back-office of a reputed UAE-based business group engaged in multiple business verticals. The Chennai office provides a comprehensive range of support services including Accounting, Engineering support, Procurement support, Sales Support, Bid & quote preparation, HR support, IT support, Marketing & e-commerce support and other back-office functions.

Role Overview:

Finance Manager / Asst. Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Reporting:

  • Supervise the day-to-day accounting operations handled by the team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billings, and follow-up and recover dues.
  • Process payments and cash flow management. Coordinate with local banks.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of books of accounts as per applicable accounting standards and Indian regulations.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures.
  • Prepare and finalize MIS reports, financial statements and schedules in coordination with Group Finance team.
  • Reconcile bank balances, intercompany balances between group entities and vendor balances.

Taxation & Compliance:

  • Prepare monthly TDS and GST workings. Manage payment of taxes and other statutory dues within due dates.
  • Coordinate with consultants and ensure timely filing of all statutory returns and forms (for compliances under GST, TDS, PF, PT, Income Tax, FEMA, ROC, etc.).
  • Prepare and maintain a compliance tracker.

Audit & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with statutory auditors for smooth conduct of audits.
  • Prepare audit schedules, resolve audit queries, and ensure timely completion of audit processes.
  • Liaise with legal, other external consultants and government authorities as required.
  • Coordinate with internal auditors.

Process & Team Management:

  • Supervise and guide the accounting team to ensure adherence to processes and timelines.
  • Regularly coordinate with Finance team, Tax team, Legal Team, Treasury Team at the Group HO.
  • Implement and improve accounting systems, controls, and best practices.
  • Track and ensure renewal of contracts, agreements and insurance policies.
  • Prepare and finalize annual budgets, forecasting, and periodic cash flow monitoring.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)

    with 3 - 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience,

    OR

  • Semi-qualified (CA-Inter)

    with 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, compliance, and reporting roles.

Experience & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and overall Indian legal and compliance framework.
  • Hands-on experience with

    SAP ERP.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and meet strict deadlines.
