Civil Estimation Engineer

Job Description

Urgent Hiring for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil Estimation Engineer to join our pre-tendering team in Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil and infrastructure projects based in the UAE. This role demands strong technical knowledge, market awareness, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders. Key Responsibilities : Analyze tender documents (drawings, specifications, BOQs) and client requirements. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates using industry-standard estimation software. Develop pre-tender cost strategies in alignment with project timelines and budgets. Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to gather competitive quotations. Evaluate direct and indirect costs including materials, labor, plant, and overheads. Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and alternatives in design or methodology. Prepare and present bid packages and tender documentation for internal and client review. Coordinate with planning and procurement teams to align project scope and timelines. Maintain updated records of cost data, rates, and vendor/supplier contacts. Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and international standards. Qualifications & Skills : Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory); post-graduate in Construction Management or related field is an advantage. 9- 15 years of experience in civil estimation, preferably with GCC/UAE project exposure. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market rates. Proficiency in estimation tools such as Plan swift, Excel, AutoCAD Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines. Knowledge of FIDIC and local UAE construction regulations is a plus.
