Civil Estimation Engineer

As an Estimation Engineer in civil construction, you will play a crucial role in calculating the cost, materials, labor, and time required for construction projects. Your detailed cost estimates will guide decision-making and facilitate bidding for projects. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and other documents. - Estimate material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs. - Prepare tender documents and bid proposals. - Analyze tender specifications and drawings. - Collaborate with site engineers, architects, and project managers to refine estimates. - Visit sites to assess conditions and gather data. - Conduct rate analysis for labor and materials based on current market trends. - Prepare project budgets and monitor cost control systems. - Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and negotiate pricing. Skills Required: - Strong grasp of civil engineering principles and construction methods. - Ability to analyze data, plans, and market rates. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel (advanced), and estimation software like Candy, Primavera, or CostX. - Attention to detail in calculations and documentation. - Effective communication skills to convey complex estimates clearly to stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience: - Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. - Additional certification in Quantity Surveying or Project Estimation is often beneficial. - Minimum 2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying or Project Estimation.
