Finance & Audit Executive

Roles and responsibilities

• Oversee the company's financial operations, including income, investments, and expenses.
• Prepare and oversee budgets, ensuring financial viability and resource allocation align with business goals.
• Analyze financial data and reports to provide insights that support strategic decision-making and achieve financial objectives.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity to meet operational needs and develop investment strategies to optimize working capital.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards, staying updated on changes in laws and regulations.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, developing and implementing risk management strategies.
• Communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders, including senior management and the board.
• Oversee the development and operations of finance departments, potentially managing staff and coordinating schedules.
• Collaborate with other executives to maximize profits and decrease costs.

• Plan and conduct audits of financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Execute audit procedures, including fieldwork and testing of transactions and balances to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Document audit findings, prepare working papers, and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations for management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement audit recommendations and monitor progress, potentially providing guidance to junior auditors.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance), and emerging risks.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
