Finance Associate – Job Description

Position Overview:

A Finance Associate is responsible for supporting the finance and accounting team with daily operations. The role includes handling financial records, preparing reports, managing data entries, assisting in audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Prepare and update daily/weekly/monthly financial reports

Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes

Handle invoices, receipts, and vendor payments

Support account reconciliation and bank reconciliation

Assist in payroll processing (if required)

Coordinate with internal teams for financial data

Help in internal and external audits

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Manage data entry and update financial systems

Handle petty cash and expense reimbursements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field

Basic understanding of accounting principles

Proficiency in MS Excel and financial software (Tally/ERP preferred)

Strong analytical and numerical skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Good communication and organizational abilities

Ability to work under deadlines
