Job Description

Technical lead

Java/J2EE, AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code

This position is ideal for a self-driven engineer who can independently troubleshoot complex issues, contribute to continuous improvement, and thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment, with opportunities to work on modern cloud architectures and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements to meet evolving business needs.

Deliver DevOps support via Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), and automated deployments.

Handle high priority production incidents end to end, ensuring quick root cause analysis and resolution.

Identify, track, and resolve critical vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with security standards.

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation within Confluence for implementations, updates, and ongoing support activities.

Coordinate weekly release and deployment cycles, ensuring successful rollouts and rollback plans.

Engage in daily collaboration with onsite stakeholders and participate in the 3rd level on call support rotation as required.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years of hands on software engineering experience.

Mastery in Java/J2EE, unit testing, and CI/CD based deployment practices.

Strong experience with Spring Boot and Gradle dependency/build management.

Strong understanding of software design patterns and the ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

In depth understanding of designing, constructing, and consuming APIs and web services.

Experience with AWS services such as ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, S3, RDS/Aurora and other cloud native services supporting scalable distributed systems

Hands on with AWS Cloud services and CLI tools including Linux/Unix/AIX/AWS CLI.

Strong experience with static code analysis and vulnerability scanning tools, including Checkmarx and SonarQube.

Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, and CloudWatch monitoring tools.

Experience integrating on prem or hybrid systems with AWS.

Proficiency with Terraform or similar IaC technologies.

Hands on experience with GitHub for source code management, branching strategies, and collaboration.

Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, automated build & deployment workflows).

Exposure to security and compliance best practices.

Ability to diagnose complex technical and accessibility issues.

Ability to independently resolve production incidents with minimal guidance.

Must be able to clearly articulate ideas in both verbal and written form to product owners, agile teams, and technical stakeholders, adapting communication style to suit each group.

Ability to learn quickly and work with complex systems.

Experience working in Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban)

Bachelor s degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
