Field Support Engineer : IOT/Power Distribution

Field Support Engineer provides on-site technical expertise, installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex hardware/software systems (like IoT Devices, Servers and Software Applications) at client locations, ensuring system uptime and customer satisfaction through direct support, repairs, training, and detailed documentation, often requiring travel and strong problem-solving skills. They bridge customer needs with technical teams, resolving issues from basic connectivity to advanced infrastructure problems.

Responsibilities

• On-Site Support:

  Install, Configure, maintain, repair and test IoT Devices & Web-SCADA at customer sites.

• Troubleshooting:

  Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.

• Customer Interaction:

  Act as the main technical point of contact, providing training, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction.

• Documentation:

  Maintain detailed records of service visits, troubleshooting steps, inventory, and technical manuals.

• Collaboration:

  Work with internal engineering, network, and application teams to escalate and resolve complex problems.

• System Management:

  Perform tasks like AD/user management, OS imaging, patching, p2p testing, and inventory management.

• Reporting:

  Generate reports on work done, project status, and equipment performance.

Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science).
  
• Strong knowledge of IoT hardware, SCADA, operating systems (Windows, Linux), security,
  and relevant tools
• Excellent analytical, communication (written/verbal), and customer service skills; ability to
  work independently and manage time.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose field issues and provide effective solution
  
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
  
• Experience of working on installation and maintenance projects (Energy Meters, Grid Automation, SCADA)
  
• Preferred Experience Range: 4-6 Years
