Role Overview: As a candidate for this position, you will be responsible for ensuring ESH compliance, customer management, site quality & process compliance, energy management, uptime management, team management, landlord management, decision-making authority, key interactions, major challenges, skills & knowledge, future outlook, and a typical day in the role. Key Responsibilities: - ESH Compliance - Maintain site hygiene and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). - Ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Conduct safety training and awareness sessions for field staff. - Customer Management - Support outage escalations, site access, and infrastructure upgrades. - Maintain strong relationships with customers and resolve field issues promptly. - Site Quality & Process Compliance - Ensure quality of telecom infrastructure at sites. - Conduct site audits and enforce compliance with processes and standards. - Energy Management - Reduce diesel consumption and manage electrical board (EB) faults. - Ensure energy efficiency and compliance with energy-related policies. - Uptime Management - Maintain infrastructure uptime and reliability. - Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for outages and implement corrective actions. - Ensure proper functioning of site automation systems. - Team Management - Evaluate technician performance and allocate resources effectively. - Plan and conduct training sessions to enhance team capabilities. - Landlord Management - Ensure site access and resolve site hygiene or landlord-related issues. - Maintain cordial relationships with landlords and site partners. - Decision-Making Authority - Without approval: Routine maintenance, fault rectification, diesel pilferage reporting. - With manager informed: Consumables replacement, site visits. - With approval: Material issuance (via Area Ops Manager or Head O&M). Qualifications Required: - Education: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred. - Knowledge: Electrical systems, DG sets, GSM / CDMA basics. - Skills: Analytical thinking, planning, team management, multitasking. - Experience: 12 years in telecom infrastructure with OME / SME / IME partner coordination. Additional Details: You will be expected to operate within the OPEX budget, manage 68 technicians across 100150 sites, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Your key interactions will involve SCM, Energy Department, Security, Estate, TOC teams internally, and IMEs / OMEs / SMEs, customer field teams, landlords, partner technicians externally. Some major challenges you may face include site outages due to access or DG issues, theft, equipment failure, adverse weather, material constraints, and technician availability. Your future outlook includes developing skills in active and passive infrastructure management, project implementation, and cost-efficient operations. Typical Day: - 15%: Morning O&M calls. - 50%: Site visits. - 25%: Field issue meetings. - 10%: PM validation and billing.
