Job Description

As an Assistant Sales Manager in the Building Materials, Interior Solutions, Lighting, Furniture, Hardware industry, your primary role will be to drive business development activities. You will be responsible for engaging with architects to secure project specifications and establishing a robust dealer/distributor network to boost sales. Your success in this position will be pivotal in bridging the gap between product specification and execution through effective channel and influencer management. Key Responsibilities: - Engage with Architects: - Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with architects, interior designers, and consultants. - Showcase and advocate products for potential inclusion in upcoming residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects. - Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions for the Architect and Dealer community. - Monitor project pipelines through architects and ensure successful conversion via channel partners. - Dealer/Channel Management: - Identify and recruit new dealers/distributors within assigned territories. - Manage existing dealer partnerships to boost sales volume and product reach. - Assist dealers with marketing collateral, promotional schemes, training, and inventory management. - Ensure timely order placement, coordinate deliveries, and provide after-sales support. - General Sales & Reporting: - Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets from architect and dealer channels. - Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, finance, product) for seamless operations. - Submit regular reports on visits, leads, conversions, and competitor activities. - Stay informed about market trends, product advancements, and competitor strategies. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales/business development, preferably in building materials or interior solutions. - Demonstrated expertise in engaging with influencers (architects) and dealer/channel partners. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building aptitude. - Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office. - Readiness to travel extensively within the designated territory.
